New York, NY, July 18th, 2006 - TaskStream, ‘Advancing Educational Excellence’, is pleased to introduce the
newest version of its Web-based toolset for demonstrating learning achievement. With the completion of the
Summer ’06 feature upgrades, individuals and learning communities now benefit from greatly expanded
capabilities to assess, collaborate and share.
The new release features:
- The TaskStream WebMarker™ provides evaluators with the powerful capability to mark-up
digital documents and images; share comments with the author; and retain versions to demonstrate progress
over time. The WebMarker is currently being piloted by select customers over the summer with general usage
scheduled for availability in September.
- The calendaring and planning capabilities have been greatly extended to reflect the growing needs of
collaborative learning communities to readily create, plan and share scheduled activities. Educators can
now incorporate lessons and units directly into their calendars for planning and mapping.
- The portfolio presentation capabilities have been significantly enhanced to provide a broad spectrum of
presentation layouts, colors and navigational choices for a more personalized showcasing of skills,
competencies and achievements. Additionally, the new feature upgrade includes more and improved stock
imagery, a slideshow authoring tool, and the option to customize institutional presentation formats to
meet specific requirements for programmatic needs.
- Interoperability capabilities have been further extended to easily accommodate seamless integration with
previously installed campus-based legacy systems.
- Additional productivity and usability enhancements to make the TaskStream experience even more efficient
and intuitive.
- Commencing August 1, TaskStream will be broadcasting various webinars covering introductory capabilities,
orientation and programmatic and campus-wide reporting solutions.
